2026 Savannah World Series F.A.Q.
- What qualifying events do I need to play?
- None, it is an open registration event. There are no qualifying events required.
- Is it a stay to play?
- No, you are welcome to stay in what every fits your budget.
- I see it is an “open” age classes? Do you have AA?
- It is an open format, meaning during pool play you will most likely play games both inside your class and outside. The GOOD news is, we will break the teams into their classes for bracket play when we can. Yes, all your pool games will count for your bracket seeding.
- How many games am I guaranteed?
- All teams are guaranteed 5 games (of course weather permitting). You will play 3 pool then into a modified double elimination bracket.
- Brackets, can you explain how they work?
- It is a modified double elimination bracket. There are NO IF GAMES, WINNER TAKES ALL! The largest bracket will be seven (7) teams. Each bracket will have a champion, runner up, and 3rd place awards.
- Do you take time requests?
- Short answer, NO. All teams should be prepared to play every day!
- What park will I play at?
- It will vary based on number of teams in each age group. More details to come.
- It’s a 5 day event, are the pitching rules different?
- See pitching faq. There is no “reset” to your pitching, it is a “rolling three (3) days” that we look at.
- Rosters? Can we bring guest players?
- Rosters will lock at coach check in. You are allowed to bring three (3) guest players. Be careful, if bringing out of class players, you might be subject to playing in a higher class of your team.
- Do I need baseballs?
- No, we supply both baseballs and umpires.
- I don’t play much USSSA, can we participate and what class should I register for?
- It is open to all USSSA registered teams. If we can not verify your roster, we reserve the right to move you to the next higher class.
- Payments?
- All payments will go through the USSSA online system.
- Can I register and pay later?
- Yes, we will require all teams to make a deposit of $500 by Feb 1 with the balance due April 30. Once a deposit is placed it is NON-REFUNDABLE!
- Will there be gate fees?
- Yes, once we set the gate fees we will send it out. I would expect the gate fees to be similar to our events in the past. Expect a week pass around $80, and a daily pass around $20 per day.
- When do schedule some out?
- Expect all schedules about 14 days prior to the start.
- Skills competitions
- We start every event with a skills competition, see itinerary and skill comp info page.
- Can I bring my pets?
- Each park has their own rules; we will update once available.
- Outside food & beverage?
- Each team will receive a team cooler tag. Parents are allowed to bring a small personal sized cooler. Please have some consideration for the venues and their concession.
- Tents/Canopies
- While there is shade a both parks, you are welcome to bring your tent/canopy.
